Gen Museveni Vows To Deal With Land Grabbers In Luwero- Commissions A Three Storeyed Workshop Building Named After Him
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has cautioned land grabbers against evicting people from their land.
The President sounded the warning while commissioning a three storeyed workshop building named after him Kaguta Block at Excel Vocational Bombo in Luwero district.
''The speakers raised, among other issues, the matter of land grabbing and corrupt elements in the implementation of government programmes such as PDM''.noted President Museveni.
President Museveni comended the skills provided at Excel Vocational Training Centre, Kalule-Bombo and promissed more support
The school also marked 18 years of training Ugandans in various courses.
''I made it clear that no one will be evicted from their land, regardless of title. Land issues stem from historical mistakes; colonialists erred by not recognising the original inhabitants''.- President Museveni said.
The President emphasised the responsibility of the electorate to hold their leaders accountable through regular appraisals.
The government is committed to working with the wanainchi on the issue of corruption. However, the more sustainable strategy is to ensure improved and sustainable household income.
Various departments at the school exhibited the different products made by the students. There after the tour, the President then proceed to Kalule Playgrounds where he launched the school album.
The president praised Directors of the Institute led by Hajj Shafiq Mwanje for skilling the youths.
