Headteacher Remanded Over Inflating Number Of Students On Gov't Program

 The State house Anti Corruption Unit together with the Criminal Investigations Directorate and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, have arraigned Welishe Robert, the Head Teacher, Butale Church of Uganda Primary School before the Masaka Chief Magistrate Court on charges of providing false information.

 He has been remanded until 23/12/2024. Between February and May 2024, the accused, being a Head teacher of Butale C.O.U Primary School submitted wrong information of the pupil enrollment records to the Masaka City Education Officer.

 He informed the Masaka City Education Officer that, 423 UPE Students had been enrolled which was not true, an act he knew would cause financial loss to govt.
