Kyabazinga Officially Introduces Inebantu Jovia Mutesi To President Museveni And First Lady

The kyabazinga of Busoga His Royal Highness William Gabula Nadiope IV has today introduced the Inebantu of Busoga Queen Jovia Mutesi to His Eecellency the president of Uganda Gen.Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the first lady Janet Kataha Museveni at sttatte house Entebbe.

The president has congratulated the Kyabazinga on finding a wife.

" Whenever we met in the past, I used to ask him why he was visiting me alone. Therefore, I am very glad that he finally found a companion. I also thank him for showing respect to elders by introducing his wife to us". The president said.

The Museveni also donated 100 cows to the couple as okurabukira (to welcome) the bride. And 20 cows for okusiima (gift of gratitude) to the family of Nyin’abantu.

On 18th November 2023, the Kyabazinga of Busoga, William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV, and Jovia Mutesi exchanged marriage vows at Christ’s Cathedral Bugembe in Jinja.

The function attracted powerful officials from Busoga kingdom and government of Uganda and officiated by Anglican Archbishop Stephen Kaziimba

The last Inhebantu was Alice Muloki, who died on November 6, 2005. On September 7, 2023, the Busoga Kingdom announced Jovia Mutesi as the Inebantu of the Kingdom (Queen of Busoga).
