IGP Ochola Shakes Police, Reshuffles 135 Police Chiefs
The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Martin Okoth Ochola has shaken police again where he transfered over 135 top Senior Police Officers, Spyreports has learnt.
According to inside police sources, the police reshuffle came after several complaints went to the President claiming mishandling of cases were severely increasing at Police. "The president had also received complaints of corruption, bribery, extortion among others with in police fraternity," says another Source.
The security source says the President later summoned the IGP over the mentioned allegations. "I don't want to hear such rubbish in police, the institution should serve the public very well," a source quoted the President saying. Recently the President also warned police officers to serve the Nation deligently despite receiving low salaries.
Sources from Naguru Police Head Offices say after the IGP was grilled by the President, he made a suprise reshuffle where over 135 officers were affected.
Among those who were reshuffled include ACP Nganizi Wisely, who was the RPC Rwizi, he was transferred to Busoga. He was replaced by ACP Kitumwa Rusoke. Others who were also affected were, SSP Monday Johnson from Homicide to Kira Region as Regional CID, SSP Vincent Okurutu from Electricity Regulatory Authority to KMP as Deputy CID, ACP Mugwisagye Richard from Course to Cyber Crime as head, ACP Henry Mugumya from Course to General Crime, SP Godwin Ababa from CPS to Wamala Region as Regional CID, SP Juliet Nakawala CID to head Electrol Offences, SP Harriet Kako from CID to Nsangi as OCID, SP Procesy Namukasa from CID to Lands, SP Jane Sanyu sent to Rwengo as OCID, SP Mukyala Caroline sent to Rakai as OCID, SP Mwesigwa Onsemus sent to Luwero as OCID, SP Akongo Bibiana to Jinja Road as OCID, SP Kimera Isaq to Office of Nakalema.
According to the message, all transfered officers must hand over their officers and report to their new duty stations.
