Independent Candidate Wins Kisoro Woman MP Race

The Independent National Resistance Movement Leaning AKIFEZA Grace Ngabirano has been declared winner of Kisoro district woman Member of Parliament race with 50,459 votes.

Kisoro electoral district returning officer Daniel Nayebare declared Akifeza Grace Ngabirano after collecting the highest number of votes.

Ngabirano got 50,459 votes followed by the ruling party candidate who collected 44982 votes .

The National Unity Platform Candidate Zubedi Sultana Salim with only 903 votes.

  CYIMPAYE Aisha Peoples Progressive Party [PPP] scored157votes, INGABIRE Mable Uganda Peoples Congress [UPC] while MUSANASE Juliet Forum for Democratic Change [FDC] got 193 votes.

The post fell vacant after the demise of Hon Sarah Mateke Nyirabashitsi.
