Police Raid NUP Office,  Arrest More People over Being in Possession of Army Related Properties.

Police in Kasangati have arrested National Unitty Plaform Officesncare taker Evans Bukenya over ossession of illegal securityy relaed atttires.

This was after Kiira Road Police received intelligence from the intelligence circles that there  are people putting on security related attires with ranks and Titles  while personating security officers in particular police and the UPDF in the areas of Kamwokya and Nakawa Kampala respectfully

The whistle brower informed securityy agencies that the said attires are got from the stores of NUP offices  Kamwokya which romtted security tto seek regal redress b securing a court order with a Search Warrant from Buganda Chief Magistrates court for search at NUP offices Kamwokya.

A team of detectives conducted a search in NUP offices Kamwokya and recovered one Body Armour black in colour and als arrested tthe offices Care taker Evans Bukenya  to assist in their investigations.

Kasangati Police Station furtther arrested five suspects like Madoi Latif 45 years, Afundra Joseph 37 years a resident of Jokolera village, Kalyesubula Rogers a resident of Jokolera,Taala shaban  27 years a resident of Matugga and Migadde Moses 32 years  a resident of watubba

SSP Patrick Onyango the Kamala Mettroolitan Polce Public relaions officer, notted that the place that was searched  belongs to one Madoi Latif and its located at Jokolera village, Watubba ward in Kasangati Town council and also called LA Fashions and skill development school.


Items recovered from this place includes; amy green linings, army green uniform, army green allows, two overall of army green, a blue pair of madowadowa uniform, three electric sewing machines, one army green rain coat, two charts bearing Latif military academy barracks, five army green bags, two army green headdresses, one peddle tailoring machine and a good number of cloth with colors green, yellow, black and redred plus those of military.said Police.

the Uganda Peoples Defence Forces, through their 4th Infantry Division Public Information Office, cautioned individuals wearing military outfits bearing UPDF imprints, such as warm suits, jackets, ranger boots, berets, caps, porches, backpacks/camel backs, among others, to cease immediately.
