Khat Farmers Protest Ban- To Petition Museveni

Farmers and dealers of Khart commonly known as Mirra have today staged along Nateete- Nakawuka road in Wakiso district in protest of the recently assented bill into law that bans growing and consumption of narcotic drugs including Mirra.

These farmers claim that they were not consulted as stake holders and the entire community is depending on mirra plantation ranging from farmers, dealers and consumers.

They are now seeking president Museveni's intervention since the crop is grown in various districts like Wakiso, Mpigi, Butambala, Mukono  among others
