LC 1 Defense Arrested over Torturing Boda boda Rider.

Police in Nansana have arrested one Katende Ramathan on allegations of aggravated torture.
Police received information that one known as Laguna was tortured by Katende Ramathan on the 14 Jun 23 at Kibwa zone in the office of the chairman of boda boda Nansana in Wakiso District.
It's alleged that the victim was riding a motorcycle belonging to the suspect but disappeared for about two weeks which annoyed the owner of the motor cycle. When the rider was arrested later by the owner, he was taken to the office of the chairman and seriously canned using electrical wire while recording himself and the video later shared in  the social media.
Police after receiving the information, started Investigating the case, statements were recorded from witnesses.
Police established that the suspect one Katende Ramathan is a defence in the office of the Boda boda association Nansana.
The victim one Laguna was riding the motorcycle of the suspect for boda boda business and he disappeared with it for about two weeks.
On the 14 Jun 23, the suspect managed to trace for the victim and he got him with his motorcycle.
He took the victim to their office of boda boda Nansana where he started torturing him with electric wire.
As he was torturing the victim his friend was capturing the incident using the suspect's phone and after, the suspect sent the captured video to their group.
One of the group member sent the video recording to various groups.
After torturing the victim the suspect let the victim to go away from their office and since then the victim has not been seen.
"The suspect was traced and arrested and he is still in custody at Nansana police station.
We appeal to members of the public not to take the law into their hands," SSP Patrick Onyango PRO KMP said.
