M23 Rebel Sneaks into Uganda with a Gun, Robs Kisoro Top Business Man.
Police in Kisoro Kigezi region are holding an M23 Rebel who crossed from Congo with a submachine gun (SMG) and robbed a top business Man in Kisoro town. The arrested M23 Rebel has been identified as Ngoga Justine 22years of age.
Police spokesperson Fred Enanga told us that Ngoga Justine sneaked in from Masissi Mbuguru in Shuru North Kivuru in the Democratic Republic of Congo and ended up robbing a business man in Kisoro town of his two mobile phones and money worth shs 400k.
"However upon receiving the information, our officers immediately started looking for him until he was arrested before Crossing back to Congo and we managed to recover an SMG and it's ammunitions, two mobile phones but unfortunately he had already swindled the money,"says Fred Enanga. The police mouthpiece also identified the robbed business man as Nsasule Lawrence a resident of Kisoro town.
Relatedly, Allied Democratic Force ADF collaborator handed himself to joint security forces after a fierce fighting by UPDF,FARDC against ADF rebels in Congo. The collaborator has been identified as William Byaruhanga 30 years of age who had crossed to Congo. Fred Enanga told us that before crossing to Congo, William Byaruhanga was a resident of Busunga trading center in Bundibujo district.
Fred Enanga added that after handing himself to the joint security forces, he was taken to UPDF 309 Brigade headquarters in Kapro village, kyanza parish in Rubirizi district where he was later transferred to Makenke army barracks to more questioning and getting more information that might be useful especially to the operations of ADF.
