Man Murders His Wife, Hangs Self in the Bush.

Detectives from Nakasongola District are investigating a case of murder and suicide that occured on Thursday 24/08/2023 at approximately 9:30pm at Nalukonge village Lwabyata subcounty in Nakasongola District. The deceased have been identified as; Nakazibwe Amina aged 32yrs old, a Muruuli by tribe and resident of the same area, and Galimaka Charles of unknown age a Muruuli by tribe, resident of the same area and a peasant.

According to preliminary reports, the two were husband and wife and married officially, it is said that the late Galimaka Charles picked a domestic quarrel in the wee hours of evening with his wife one Nakazibwe Amina which led to a serious fight, the husband went on picked a hoe and hacked his wife to death which prompted him to run away in a hiding place where he also committed suicide by hanging using a rope and was found by residents of the same area.

"Upon Police receiving the information from Kabagambe James a resident of the same area, they responded in time and visited the scene and documented it by soco, a case of murder was registered, exhibits were recovered, statements were recorded from relevant witnesses and bodies were conveyed to Nakasongola HCIV for postmortem examination," ASP TwineAmazima Sam PRO Savannah Region said.
