Mityana Land Broker Murdered in Cold Blood.

Detectives from Mityana Police have commenced investigations into the murder of Kiraso Vincent aged 40yr a land dealer and resident of Katakala Kide cell. The murder that occurred on 23/08/2023 at about 10pm in Katakala kide cell, Mityana district. The deceased's body was allegedly found lying in the banana plantation of Saka Simon with multiple cuts on the neck, left shoulder and palms.

According to SP Rachel Kawala the Public Relations Officer Wamala Region, the deceased was attacked from the road side and later pulled to the plantation, a distance of 12.9mtrs from the point of attack. The body appeared to have been searched after the attack as it didn't have any other property apart from a bottle of Uganda Waragi.
Preliminary findings indicate that the deceased prior to his death, was seen at Bamunanika cell having leisure time with friends before setting off back home.
"It has been established that there have been long standing family land wrangles within the deceased’s family. Earlier in the day of 23/08/2023, the deceased was on his duty inspecting the land which was due for sale with a yet to be identified client.
The deceased could have been killed as a result of family land wrangles or land deal that went bad. Scene of Crime has been visited, examined and documented. Relevant Statements have also been recorded from relevant witnesses," SP Kawala said.

"Our police canine dog was brought to the Scene of crime and tracked up to the home of Nakalema Harriet the widow to the deceased's brother who also confirmed having been part of the first respondents and upon searching her house, nothing of evidential value was recovered.
Body of the deceased has been taken to Mityana hospital mortuary for postmortem examination.
Efforts are underway to have suspects identified and arrested for prosecution," she added.
