Minister Nyamutoro Survives Being Shot By Security Guard

The State Minister  For Energy and mineral development in charge of minerals Hon Phiona Nyamutoro has narrowly escaped being shot by private security guards from National Cement Co., a subsidiary of the Devki Group, which is allegedly conducting illegal mining activities in Kisoro District. 

This incident was in Kisoro district to address concerns related to mineral development when the security guard attacked her. 

The minister was saved by her security team and police officer who had accompanied her.

The youngest Minister in the current Museveni's Cabinet Phio a Nyamutoro was tasked to manage the country's mineral resources.

Police in Kabale District have now arrested these private security guards from National Cement Company over attempting to shoot at State Minister for Energy and Mineral Development.
