Mother Remanded to Prison for Murdering 4 Months Baby
In a shocking incident in North West Nile Region and Yumbe district, a 24-year-old mother named Nadio Manjubo, residing in Chamanikua village, Yayari parish, Lovi sub-county, Yumbe district, was charged with the gruesome murder of her 4-month-old son, Angelo Buga. The horrifying act occurred on July 19, 2023, at 4 pm.
After committing the heinous act, the mother proceeded to hack her son into pieces and then stuffed the body parts into a saucepan. In a disturbing twist, she boiled the body parts, claiming she felt like eating meat. Nadio Manjubo was subsequently presented before Yumbe court and was remanded to Yumbe prison on July 21, 2023, to face charges of murder.
Fred Enanga the police spokesman said, "To cut and dismember an innocent child into pieces is absolutely horrific. The crime scene was so disturbing and shows how some parents have lost sense of humanity and love for their children."
"We urge all parents in challenging domestic settings, to always seek help from the Child and Family Protection Unit, the nearest police station or other child rights defender. It is painful that the 4 month old son, died from the hands of a mother, who was supposed to keep him SAFE," he added.
