New Luwero Church Of Uganda Bishop's Car Involves In Fatal Accident, kills Bodaboda Cyclist

The Territorial traffic police at Bombo have registered a fatal accident today Wednesday 20th March 2024 at MILE 20 BOMBO along the Gulu Kampala Highway that claimed a life of one person. 

The accident involved motor vehicle registration number  UBC 611C Land Cruiser Prado and unknown motorcycle that claimed a life of one identified as MATOVU  HASSAN a 39 year old resident of Nakatonya Sedetula Nyimbwa in Luwero District.

Preliminary information indicates that at mile 20 Bombo motor vehicle  reg no UBC 611C LAND CRUISER PRADO  Being driven by Manyire Keneth being led by leading  police vehicle to go and bring the New Bishop of Luwero Church of Uganda, the driver overtook the lead car and went ahead  and knocked a bodaboda cyclist, the victim was rushed  to Bombo General Military hospital where he shortly passed on.

After the accident  the driver  drove ahead at mile 19 Bombo parked  and reported  the accident  and decided  to run away  
Traffic at checkpoint with  help of commander of lead car and crews chased the driver arrested him and is detained  at Bombo Police Station.
