Suspended DRCC Burora Faces Interdiction Over Remark Targeting  Speaker Among And Parliament.
 
The Permanent Secretary, Office of the President Yunus Kakande has revealed plans to interdict Herbert Anderson Burora, the former Deputy RCC of Rubaga Division, over his remarks about the corruption and abuse of office targeting both Speaker Among & the institution of Parliament.

Kakande made the revelation while appearing before Parliament’s Presidential Affairs Committee to present the entity’s 2024/25 national budget estimates.

Kitgum Municipality Member of Parliament Hon.Denis Oneka asked Mr. Kakande to explain what action had been taken against Deputy RCC Anderson Burora for the derogatory remarks he made against Parliament.

“I have seen the need for capacity building. Our RDCs need to be sensitized a lot on the rules and mandates and where they should stop. What so far has been done to Deputy RCC Rubaga who spoke derogatory messages about Parliament? What has the Presidency done?” said Oneka.

“We called him (Burora), suspended him, and now we are going to send him to the reward and sanctions Committee for interdiction and be on half pay, that is the process of how we weed them out''.Kakande told committe.

 
''I called that RDC four times in my office, to desist from going to the press because our regulations and Public Standing Orders don’t allow them unless I have given special permission, I advised him, and he refused so what I did, I suspended him and after suspension, I am going to take him to the rewards and sanctions Committee and then interdict him completely,” said Kakande.
 
This comes just hours before Burora declares his next move in a press conference he intends to hold tomorrow 21 March 2024. Some political analysts believe that Burora is Looking for an elective political position in Kampala.
