Ntungamo RDC, Chief Magistrate At War Over Criminal Summons

A serious war has erupted between the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) for Ntungamo District Mucunguzi Geofrey and the seating Chief Magistrate over criminal court summons, Spy reports has learnt.

Recently the RDC using his high impunity and ignorance went and broke the house of Mrs Deborah Kobusingye of Kafunjo and stole the properties of her tenants who included Natamba Yowasi. He was in the company of his GISO and other goons.

The RDC and his team were latter dragged to court and accused of theft and house breaking. The Chief Magistrate Court of Ntungamo issued criminal summons to appear in court and answer the mentioned charges.  According to summons, RDC and his team are expected to appear before Chief Magistrate on Tuesday 9th to face charges.

However the panicking RDC later addressed the media and attacked the independence and roles of Judiciary. In his address he said " Me as the RDC and Chief Monitor of the District if I make an administrative measures that can keep people in peace, I don't need the permission of the Chief Magistrate, " he says.

He adds that if the Chief Magistrate was not okay with his discussion then he should go to a competent court. He further says there is high corruption at Ntungamo Court which must stop. "This is a kick of dying horse. I have always accused the Chief Magistrate of Ntungamo of corruption and killing cases," he says while not tabling evidence of his statements. He adds that "let me make it clear, if the Chief Magistrate of Ntungamo calls me, I can not go because am not answerable to him," .
