NUP Iron Lady Crosses To NRM Just Hours To Bobi Wine's Tour To Soroti City

The National Unity Platform(NUP) Former Soroti Municipalitsy Woman Member of Parliament Crace Aciyo has converted to the Ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party just hours to the NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi visit to soroti city. 

Aciyo was received by Team Thorough YKM Kira House National Coordinator and Presidential mobilizer on poverty eradication and development Pr Robert Mbabazi before the Soroti city assistant Resident City Commissioner Oroma Musa among other NRM supporters. 

This was after Team Thorough's poverty eradication mobilization tour toTeso sub region  where over 40 people from oppositon NUP, FDC and UPC parties crossed to the ruling NRM party.

Pr Mbabazi launched the poverty eradication campaign in Teso Sub region and urged coordinators from districts of serere,Kumi, Soroti, Amuria and Palisa to embrace the four principals of NRM (Patriotism, Pan Africanisms, Social economic Transformation and Democracy) for the prosperity of the country  

Teso Sub region is politically busy after president Museveni resumes his zonal tours today in the Bukedi Region, visiting three farmers at different stages of wealth creation.

" I want to congratulate them for waking up and taking advantage of our advice and also our little support. We have been doing this since 1996, but many people, especially the leaders, were not taking it up and educating the people on how to get out of poverty".President Museveni said. 

Bukedi is a very rich area; the whole of Uganda is actually very rich, so what some people call poverty is actually ignorance. There's no poverty here; I cannot be poor here in Uganda. So, I'm glad that our people are slowly coming up.The president added. 

In a related development the NUP leaders is also traversing Karamoja and Teso regions.
