NUP Supporter Strangled To Death In Mitooma

Police in mitooma district are investigating circumstances in which a boda boda rider and National Unity Platform (NUP) activist was murdered on Friday 17th January 2025 at night. 

The deceased has been identified as Nimusiima Anselm aged 28 years .

Preliminary investigations indicate that Nimusiima was killed in Katenga, Mitooma District.

According to residents,  Nimusiima, who was a boda, -boda rider in Ishaka town was lured into a trap by someone who pretended to be a passenger, and on reaching some dark spot, they found others who strangled him and hit him with sharp objects, leaving him dead. 

"We have been told that Nimusiima has been getting threats for defian1tly identifying with us through his dress-code and activities". Posted the NUP president.

" We would have called on the police to carry outb investigations if only they had shown the least interest in investigating the murders of comrades like Lochoto Ambrose Machete, Ritah Nabukenya, Dan Kyeyune, etc etc. But we remain hopeful that one day, there will be justice for all these crimes!" Added Bobi wine.
