Overspeeding Vehicle Rammed Into Building, Killing Two People Instantly.

 Two people dead and eight others injured in a road crash at 6:30am, 17th October 2024 at Lubaga road opposite Luqman petrol station.

 The crash occurred when a speeding vehicle No. UAU 194T Toyota Hiace, traveling from Sanyu Babies Home on Butikiro Road, failed to brake while descending a slope.

The vehicle lost control and rammed into a building alongside Lubaga Road, opposite Luqman Petrol Station killing instantly two people including the driver and injured 8 others.

The victims were rushed to Mengo Hospital and Mulago Referral Hospital for medical attention.

 The bodies of the deceased have been conveyed to Mulago City Mortuary pending post-mortem examination.

 The vehicle has been towed to Old Kampala Police Station for inspection as inquiries commence.

SP Kananura Micheal Community Liaison Officer Directorate of Traffic and Road safety urged all motorists to adhere strictly to speed limits, particularly in urban areas, and ensure their vehicles are well-maintained to prevent such tragedies.
