Passenger Suddenly Dies at Kisenyi Bus Terminal

Police have registered a tragic incident on Thursday 19/10/2023 where a passenger with Swift Bus en route to Mbarara suddenly died.

The victim identified as Mr. Namanya Dickson, passed away at approximately 2:00 PM at Kisenyi Bus Terminal, Central Division, Kampala.

According to Mr. Kiwana Javira, a diligent toilet attendant at the terminal. Mr. Namanya, who was visibly unwell, had stopped by the terminal's facilities to relieve himself. Tragically, he passed away just outside the toilet facility before he could enter.

Preliminary observations reveal that Mr. Namanya was indeed a passenger, having acquired a ticket for the Swift Bus service to Mbarara. 

In response to this unfortunate event, the Muzaana Police Post swiftly registered a case of a sudden death. Officers from the Divisional Scene of Crime Office were promptly dispatched to the location to conduct a thorough investigation.

"Mr. Namanya's remains have been transported to Mulago Hospital for further examination and autopsy. The police investigation is already underway to determine the cause of this unexpected tragedy," ASP Luke Owoyesigyire the Deputy Public Relations officer Kampala Metropolitan Police.
