Police Arrests Armed Robbers with UPDF Uniforms, Knives

Police in Nakasongola District have in custody suspected armed robbers found with military fatigue and knives.

According to the information availed, on 31/10/2023 at around 01:30pm while No.30521 CPL Arotu James was on guard at Zengebe ferry point, there came 02 men on motorcycle  REG No. UEU 663A  Bajaj Boxer and stopped out side the fence for about 10 minutes pretending that they are repairing their very motorcycle, after they entered inside through the gate to approach the guard.

The guard had to arrest both of them and started interrogating them one identified him self by names of Okello Micheal working at Azam company Bweyogerere and the other Etoju Moris, working at Rosery supermarket also located in Bweyogerere in Kampala as their deployment from KK security company however, with out any Identification document, the guard checked  their bags, where he found out that they had carried Army warm suit (jacket), a knife, 02 pairs of Army boots, UPDF Army green T-shirt, a walkie-talkie, Army trouser and Securico company uniform, children's shoes, women's shoes. 

Upon interrogation on Army uniform, they revealed that it was their uniform though they have never attended any course in forces that uniform was given to them by their friend called Aklenge Moses who had never been security personnel and stays in Dokolo district. They were charged and detained at Lwampanga police station for further investigations and a case of being in possession of Government stores was opened at zengebe Marine police post vide SD Ref:04/31/10/2023.
