President Museveni over the weekend sacked Mucunguzi in the new RDC reshuffle. We had earlier reported that the President was informed how Mucunguzi was involved in land grabbing scandals in the district and did not deserve any offer. We also reported how the RDC, councillor, SFC officer and other leaders are battling land case at Mbarara high court.
In a vedio clip which we obtained, some some district leaders were celebrating for his sacking. "Thank you president Museveni, Minister Babalanda for sacking RDC Mucunguzi," a district leader was heard celebrating in the vedio clip.
Other leaders whom we talked to were also happy for his sacking.
"This man had become a problem to the district. He was very corrupt, arrogant and had no respect to other leaders. We thank President Museveni for sacking him," Says another district leader from Rushenyi.
" We are so happy that President Museveni did not deploy him any where because he would be a problem to the whole Country,"Says another female Councillor.
"This man thought being an RDC was the president. Its good he is no more. Let him no feel the katebe(being unemployed) and he will learn how to live with others," Says another district staff adding that the whole district is happy for his sacking. " This man had become a problem even to judicially.
He would receive bribes from people especially debtors and block bailiffs from arresting them," Says one of the Senior Court bailiffs in Ntungamo.
It is also on record that Sacked RDC refused to appear before Ntungamo Chief Magistrate court to answer criminal charges.
The Chief Justice later issued a warning against him not to interfere with court processes.
