The Police have this morning brutally arrested a section of female Members of Parliament outside Parliament’s main gate as they moved to deliver a petition to the Ministry of Internal Affairs in protest against the violence by security agencies.
This is in light of the near killing of the National Unity Platform MP from Buvuma, Hon Suzan Mugabi, as the police and the UPDF broke up her belated International Women’s Day event.
The police, commanded by RDCs/RCCs have done the same in Soroti, Ngora, Kasese, Mityana, Kiboga and Wakiso districts.
