Police Intercepts 215 Iron Sheets from Office of the Prime Minister at a Construction Site in Entebbe
Detectives attached to Entebbe police station last night intercepted a total of 215 iron sheets from the Office of the Prime Minister at a construction site in Nkumba in Katabi Wakiso District.
Luke owoyesigire the deputy police spokesperson for Kampala metropolitan told us that the office of the DPC Entebbe recieved information that a certain vehicle was loading iron sheets from a nearby building and that it was suspected that they were stolen iron sheets. "The office of the DPC Entebbe recieved information that some people were loading iron sheets suspected to be stolen and immediately our officers swang into action and found a vehicle registration number UAZ 305A Isuzu forward after it had loaded 51 iron sheets and our officers went inside the house where they recovered more 164 iron sheets being hidden inside the bedroom," says Luke Owoyesigire. He added that police cordoned off the house until morning when they returned back for more investigations and found that the iron sheets have been lebeled indicating that they came from Prime Minister's office. "We have since established that the owner of the construction site has been identified only as George whom we are now looking for to tell us how ironsheets belonging to Prime Minister's office ended into his site," says Luke owoyesigire. The police mouthpiece also said that since the ironsheets have been established to have come from Prime Minister's office, our investigations are going to be extensive so as to establish how they left the Office of the Prime Minister and by who and how it ended up to a construction site. Luke added that both exhibits of motorvehicle and ironsheets have been taken to Entebbe police station as investigations are on going.
