Rwandan Pastor Dies Mysteriously in Uganda

Detectives in Nakasongola district are investigating circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a pastor that occured on Tuesday 24/10/2023 at approximately 9am at Wanjuki village Lwabyata subcounty in Nakasongola district. The deceased has been identified as Pastor Daniel Naheirwe a male adult, aged 40yrs old and a Rwandese national. 

Preliminary information indicates that on 24/10/2023 at 9am, Pastor Daniel went to the home of Kyohairwe Jesca at Wanjuki Village Lwabyata subcounty in Nakasongola district to pray for her and remove witchcraft, he prayed and performed his miracles by removing the alleged witchcraft (Mayembe). Later he got fire and burnt the herbs and the alleged mayembe unfortunately in the due course of burning, he collapsed and died on spot. He allegedly came from Kampala claimed to be having miraculous powers that remove evil spirits from people's homes and he has been doing it for many years.

Police on getting the information from a one Sebbale Steven aged 64 years old a muruuli, responded immediately and registered a case of sudden death, scene of Crime visited and documented by soco and detectives from Nakasongola District.

"A search was conducted and Itel mobile phone was recovered from him, relevant statements from relevant witnesses were recorded and the body conveyed to Nakasongola HCIV for postmortem examination as police is tracing for his relatives," ASP TwiineAmazima Sam PRO Savannah said.
