President Museveni Appoints Eddy Kenzo Presidential Advisor On Creatives

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who is the appointing authority has appointed a renowned musician, Edrisah Kenzo Musuuza, also known as Eddy Kenzo, as the presidential advisor on creatives.

The President made the appointment on Wednesday, August 21st 2024 and also met a section of musicians on the same day at State House, Entebbe.

The news prompted his wife the state minister for mineral development Hon Phiona Nyamutorobto send a congratulatory message on her official X-account. “Congratulations on your well-deserved appointment, Kenzo. I am proud of you as always, love".

Kenzo now joins the group appointed  from art industry like the Minister for state for youths Balaam Baruhagara, Catherine Kusasira, Jennifer Nakanguubi lias Full Figure Bucherman who were presidential advisors.

 Born on December 25, 1989 (age 34) in Masaka, Eddy Kenzo is also the president and founder of the Uganda National Musicians Federation and a member of Big Talent Entertainment.

Kenzo who recently got married to the state minister for mineral development, Phiona Nyamutoro, made his breakthrough after the release of his single stamina. He received international attention after the release of his single, “Sitya Loss,” in 2014 and an accompanying viral video that featured the Ghetto Kids.

In total, Edrisah has released four albums, including Roots in 2018 and most recently Made in Africa in 2021. Kenzo has also won a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award in 2018, a BET Award in 2015, and multiple All Africa Music Awards.
