Senior Four Candidates Start UCE Examinations
Uganda National Examinations Board UNEB has today 16/10/2023 commenced written examinations for Uganda Certificate of Education UCE Senior Four S4 examinations.
The Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) Examination for the 2023 candidates officially started last week on Friday, October 13, 2023, with the briefing of candidates.
This year’s examinations is conducted under the theme ‘Integrity and security in the management of examinations is a joint responsibility’. The Board is working with various security agencies, contracted professionals, and Heads of Centres to conduct this examination.
Over 364,000 candidates registered for this year’s UCE exams, with 118,000 government-funded candidates under Universal Secondary Education (USE) and 245,000privately sponsored candidates. The exams will be held at 3,800 centersnationwide, with over 700 special needs education learners and 59 inmates from Luzira prison among the candidates.
The distribution of examination papers to all centers was completed on Saturday, and the exams will be managed by 110,000 individuals, including invigilators, supervisors, and security officers. Candidates are starting with Geography Paper 1 in the morning and Geography Paper 2 in the afternoon.
