Ssenyonyi Distances Self From Nepotism Allegations In LOP Office.

The leader of the Opposition in Parliament (LOP)Rt. Hon. Joel Ssenyonyi has disregarded social media documents and stories that he has recruited his relatives and friends in the LOP office.

Ssenyonyi says that he has often demanded for accountability on public funds and fighting against nepotism and they is no way he can start practicing the same in the he heads.

Answering questions on allowances and salaries ,Ssenyonyi said that they are entitled to these emoluments but argued fellow parliamentarians to be contented with what they are entitled to.

However, Speaker Among said that the matters he raised will only be discussed in the parliamentary Commission meeting and asked MPs to ensure the hold evidence based debates.

 “We want to debate in anticipation. Matters of the media, we agreed as this House that we should have evidence based debates and that is what we are saying, bring evidence, lay on table and after we have laid any evidence on table, then we debate on it and I need it authenticated." Speaker ruled.

The Speaker's convenient excuse was that homosexuals are fighting her, Let's not find ridiculous excuses, Ugandans are asking about their tax money, that's what we should respond to and not find scapegoats. Ssenyonyi expressed dissatisfaction.
