State House Unit and Police Arrest PDM Official over Extortion

The State House Anti Corruption Unit in liaison with Uganda Police Force have arrested Nakayima Stella Atwoti, Secretary of Buwekula Parish Development Model PDM SACCO Jinja City for extorting money from old & vulnerable beneficiaries.

It is alleged that Ms. Nakayima would deduct Shs.100,000 from each beneficiary's Shs.1M claiming to be taking it to the Parish Chief. After thorough investigations, the suspect was arrested Friday evening pending arraignment in court.
