The Electoral Commission Issues Program for By-Election for MP Oyam North.

The Electoral Commission has officially revealed the  Electoral Program for conducting the by-election of Member of Parliament for Oyam County North, Oyam District.

The seat fell vacant after the representative of Otandisse County North Col. Rtd Charles Okello Engola was shot and killed by his bodyguard on 2nd May 2023 at his home in Kyanja.

The by-election programme has commenced today, Thursday 18th May 2023 with the update of the National Voters' Register which will close on Monday, 22nd May 2023 at all update stations in each of the 39 Parishes in Oyam County North Constituency.

The Chairman of the Electoral Commission, Justice Simon Mugenyi Byabakama has called upon all stakeholders to participate in the activities in accordance with the guidelines of the by elections.
