Police Boss Survives Death after Suspect's Brother Cuts his Head

A Police Officer is nursing serious wounds in hospital after being cut with a sharp object while conducting an arrest. 

The victim Cpl Ssali Moses No 54219 on Monday at about 4pm accompanied by No 71895 PC Ojoko David booked out vide ref 03/09/10/2023 to Mulanda stores Mulanda subcounty to effect an arrest of one known as Oboth by the help of the area defence Owori William in a case of theft of 15 turkeys vide ref 26/21/08_2023.

According to ASP Mbazira Vincent police officer attached to Mulanda police station as OC Tororo District who narrated the incident, "in the process when they had identified the suspect from the three who were in the house and trying to put an hand caff on him another brother of the suspect come from a dark corner and cut Cpl Ssali Moses with a sharp object on the head which made him to bleed to much and all of them took off after discharging some bullets."

The victim Cpl Ssali Moses was rushed to Mulanda health centre IV for treatment and later referred to Tororo Main hospital. Police opened up a case of attempted Murder vide ref 04/09/10/2023.
