The Youth Should get Involved in Wealth Creation, President Museveni Says

The President of the Republic of Uganda, HE Rtd Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa has called onto the youth to get involved in wealth creation.

Museveni made the remarks on Thursday 17/08/2023 while meeting the Chairperson of the National Youth Council leaders, Mr. Jacob Eyeru and his team at State House Entebbe.

"My emphasis is that all the youth should get involved in wealth creation because, many of the problems I have seen in the last 70 years are normally among children who didn't have wealth creation as part of their culture," president Museveni said.

"The NRA was able to fight and win the protracted war because we had a very strong base of wealth creation. I also caution the youth leaders against being taken up by leadership, sectarianism and politics of identity," he added.

"Leadership is not a permanent job and they should not fall into the trap of being "professional" leaders who think that without leadership, they will die," he remarked.
