According to traffic when an EPS ticket is issued, the driver or rider is supposed to pay money on the account of Uganda Revenue Authority.
"Some officers especially  from IT department of traffic created an application which they used to remove EPS tickets issued by police after getting heavy bribes.
" when we checked in our system, millions of EPS tickets were removed yet there was no money on URA account,"  says a senior police officer.
He added that according to financial reports EPS tickets worth over 800m were cleared yet there was no money on the account.
"We all got shocked when we were informed that over 800m from EPS were missing yet we thought the system was harder," Says another high ranking police officer.

When contacted Direct Traffic and Road Safety Afande Lawrence Nuwabiine he confirmed the investigations.
