Traffic Police Issues Advisory on Ongoing Works at Clock Tower

Road works are currently ongoing at Clock Tower and the former Shoprite Store opposite the Swaminarayan Temple.

Today, Thursday 20th July 2023, there will be no vehicular access from Katwe wansi and Nsambya to Ben Kiwanuka and Nakivubo Place due to excavation at Biwologoma.

All vehicular traffic will be diverted to Entebbe road. Those wishing to access Nakasero and the old taxi park area should use Market Street.

Vehicular traffic exiting Nakasero area will use Sinai Bin road to access Entebbe road.

Parking along Market Street will be discouraged, especially during peak hours. Drivers are advised to park elsewhere and walk to their destinations within Nakasero, Market Street, Kiyembe lane, and Dastur street.

Motorists are advised to consider using alternative routes other than Clock Tower to access the city, as there may be delays and inconveniences during the adjustment period to this traffic plan.

SSP Rogers Kavuma Nsereko, the KMP Traffic Commander says "Traffic Police will be present to assist in managing this temporary traffic plan until normal traffic flow resumes. Please follow the guidance of the officers on the ground."
