Two People Murdered In Kibuku District

Police in North Bukedi Kibuku district are investigating circumstances under which two people were murdered in cold blood at Bulalaka Village.

On February 2, 2024, at around 10:00 AM, the lifeless bodies of Namwoyo Twaha (approximately 38 years old) and Katooko Nasim (27 years old), both Bagwere by tribe, were discovered in their compound in Bulalaka village Kibuku district. 
The victims displayed multiple deep cuts, indicating a brutal hacking by an unidentified assailant.

According to police, the crime scene was visited and key exhibits were recovered, including an axe and two knives found at the premises. 

A murder case file (CRB 010/2024) was initiated at Tirinyi Police Station.

Statements from relevant witnesses in the area were recorded, shedding light on the tragic incident. Subsequently, the bodies were transported to Mbale for a postmortem examination conducted by a police surgeon.

The investigation is currently ongoing, as confirmed by the police. 
The community remains in shock as authorities work diligently to unravel the circumstances surrounding this horrific double murder.
