Ugandan Expired National IDs Are Being Rejected At Boarders, Travellers Advised To Use  Passports

 The ministry of Internal Affairs has advised travellers to use passports at boarder posts after receiving  several complaints that Ugandans with expired National Identifications (IDs) are rejected.

Simon Mundenyi the ministry's spokesperson told media that the complaint is national concern .

"We have noted challenges faced by Ugandan travelers to Kenya and Rwanda using the national IDs".Says Mundeyi.

 150,000passports still in the system due to parents providing wrong information which complicates passport processing. He added.

Mundeyi further noted that over 30000 passports still in the system due to ordinary Ugandans applying for diplomatic passports  where Ugandanss thinking the diplomatic

The Internal Affairs Spokesperson Simon Mundeyi however has clarified that 'Muzungu Boda' real names Raid Samuel James was not deported but was removed from the country to Newzeland on organized departure because he was working illegally on a Visitor's Visa and also behaved 'inappropriately' towards children and women.

On the same presser held at Police headquarters in Naguru, Kampala Metropolitan Area Police revealed as they arrested 39 suspects in police crackdown  in areas of  clock tower in Kampala City.

 

In an operation cuducted on november 16 in  and Katabi Town Council wakkso district 16 suspects were arrested and the 25 were pocked in Kampala.

Police spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke revealed that police are to intensify operations in the country as festive season draws nearer .

He noted that they have received intelligence information on key areas of Bweyogerere,Kireku in wakiso district among other areas.
