1 Month Old Baby Abducted, Police Starts Investigation
Detectives in Kassanda have launched investigations into the abduction of a 01 month-old female infant that took place on October 16, 2023, at approximately 5:00 PM. The baby has been identified as Nantadde Shivan.
Police findings reveal that on the 16/10/2023, Kyarimpa Peace, a 25-year-old resident of Buyonga zone in Kiganda town council, Kassanda district, took her baby to Kiganda Health Centre IV for immunization. During her visit, she entrusted her baby to a woman whom she recognized by face, requesting assistance while she went to buy food.
However, upon her return, Kyarimpa realized that both the woman and her baby had vanished. She searched the health facility premises but to no avail. She reported the disappearance to the health facility management, who contacted the police.
The crime scene has been thoroughly examined, and relevant statements have been recorded to aid in the ongoing investigation. Police is engaged in efforts to recover the baby and arrest the suspect.
SP Kawala Racheal, PRO Wamala has urged parents to exercise utmost caution and refrain from leaving their children in the care of strangers.
