Use Electronic Methods To End Criminality-M7 Tells Police

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has instructed the management and leadership of Uganda Police Force to fully use the electronic methods to end criminality in Uganda.
President Museveni revealed this while passing out a total of 2717 Police Constables and probation police constables who had finished one year Course at Police Training school in Kabalye Masindi District. In his remarks, President Museveni said "Police has a variety of capacities so you should avoid depending on one culture he termed as " Okunyata" eating food without source."
The President further said police has failed to handle sensitive cases like murder cases because they come on crime scenes and use eyes only. "Police delayed the case of Tourist's murder because they first approached the scene of crimes with their eyes only. They tampered with the scene of crime and they became criminals," says President Museveni. He says when they brought a police dog, it followed the trail for 15kms and got tired and it later sat down. He adds that later the case was followed up and suspects were arrested. The head of State says police should use all the gadgets like phones, Dogs, Forensic, Digital number plates among others if they are to end criminality in the Country. "All those assets if used well, we can finish criminality in Uganda," Says President Museveni. He added that UPDF is going to kill all ADF rebels hiding in Congo. "We have everything to finish them and even Cong President has given us authority to carry out operations in Congo," Says President Museveni. He also urged the passed out police constables to have discipline while serving the Nation and they should also have ideology of loving Uganda first and then themselves. He also warned them to avoid AIDS and alcohol if they are to remain health and fit. The Inspector General of Police Martin Okoth Ochola urged the Constables to improve on the security of the Nation. The IGP assured the President that police is in advanced stages of implementing Sub-County policing model and it is beginning in greater Masaka where each sub county will have a vehicle, motorcycle, Radio and force of 18 personnel. Ochola also revealed the president that force is soon launching the construction of 53000 accommodation units to police officers, solar gadgets, domestic water  among others. He added that the institution will set up a 300 bed police Hospital in Nsyambya.
The Commandant Kabalye Training School ACP Emitu Ezekil says Constables got the skills, good quality during one year course. As you prepare to enter the filed,I want to remind you of the Importance of your role as public officers, you are gurdians of the law, protectors of the Community, " Says Emitu. He further assures the officers that the road ahead will not be easy. "You will face challenges and obstacles in the field and you will have to make difficult decisions," he says. Adding that he has alot of faith in them.
