Armed Robbers Attack ASP Faridah Nampima's Home, kill her security Guard and Rob Properties Worth shs 9.2M.
Armed Robbers attacked the home of police officer Asp Faridah Nampima and her husband, killed their body guard, put them down and threatened to kill them too and later took properties work shs 9.2M. The robbers were armed with machetes, pangas and were accompanied by dog forcefully entered the premises of Kasato Estates. They targeted Mr. Matia Kintu Salongo, a 74-year-old security guard of the estate, striking him on the head with a hammer, rendering him unconscious. Unfortunately, Mr. Salongo succumbed to his injuries while being transported to Mulago Hospital after being initially taken to Rubaga Hospital. They came very early at 7:00am and first killed their guard before entering inside the house where they ordered Nampima and her husband to lie down and also ordered them to keep quiet as they took whatever they wanted. Among the items that were taken include a Sonny 65-inch black flat-screen TV valued at 4 million Ugandan shillings, an iPhone 12 Promax (black) worth 4 million Ugandan shillings, two mobile phones (Samsung Wide A30 and Aquos, both black), a handbag containing 300,000 Ugandan shillings, and other personal belongings, totaling an estimated value of 9,200,000 Ugandan shillings. Deputy Police Spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan Luke owoyesigire confirmed the incident and said that Kampala metropolitan police has taken over investigations to bring culprits to book.
