CDF and Commander Land Force Pitch Camp in School Attacked by Rebels

The Chief of Defense Forces, Gen. Wilson Mbasu Mbadi and Commander Land Forces Lt. Gen. Kayanja Muhanga have moved to Lubiriha Secondary School for on spot assessment.

UPDF Spokesperson, Brig Gen. Felix Kulayigye said, "Last night 16 June 2023, at around 11:30pm a group of suspected ADF terrorists attacked Lubiriha Secondary School... unfortunately 37 bodies have been discovered and conveyed to Bwera Hospital mortuary, 8 casualties taken to Bwera government hospital, 3 rescued alive and 6 abducted."

UPDF has embarked on pursuing the perpetrators and rescue the abducted students whom they used to carry the looted food towards Virunga National Park.

According to Brig Gen. Kulayigye, the UPDF remains committed to its mandate to protect the people of Uganda and their property.
