Court Of Appeal Set To Sit Over Justice Sekana's Order Stopping Extra Ordinary Meeting Of ULS

The Court of Appeal is set to decide on the applications filed by Uganda Law Society lawyers seeking to lift the orders of injunctions issued by the Justice Musa Ssekaana restricting holding the Extra ordinary meeting by the new radical bar.

Lawyer Jude Byamukama confirmed to spyreports that Court of Appeal has set 15th January 2025 at 9:30am hear this APPLICATIONS NO 749 and750 OF 2024 seeking orders to lift what he called obnoxious democracy-crushing Ssekaana injunctions.

The injunction pronounced by the Civil Division of the High Court, halting the Extraordinary General Meeting that was slated for December 17th 2024.

The application was filed to High Court by Mugisha Hashim Mugisha and others seeking to block the ULS from electing its representatives to the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) where Justice Ssekana ordered injunction on the meeting.
