Frustration! Police Halt NUP Planned Activities In Bugweri, Pallisa and Soroti Districts Over Violation Of Agreed Guidelines.

Uganda Police Force has blocked the National Unity Platform planned activities in Bugweri, Pallisa and Soroti this weekend on grounds of violating the guidelines agreed between Police and the party leadership before the western Uganda districts political mobilization activities 

 The police police letter to NUP leadership signed by PSC Frank Mwesigwa on belaf of the Inspector General of Police Abbas Byakagaba blocked mobilisation activities citing a number of violation of traffic guidelines .

 However NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has accused police over being biased when it comes to NUP activities claiming that other actors continue to have their activities including processions and rallies. 

 However Police have invited the party leadership for an engagement meeting on the 8th of August 2024 at police Headquarters Naguru.
