Minister killed by errant bodyguard and afterwards took his own life.

The State Minister of Labour, Employment and Industrial Relations, Col. Rtd. Hon. Charles Okello Engola, was this morning in Kyanja, shot dead by his guard.

Sources say that the UPDF guard accused the minister of mistreatment and non-payment. Gunshots were earlier had in the area of Kyanja where the deceased resided. The errant officer later turned the gun on himself. The motive and identity of the man are not yet clear.

ASP Luke Owoyesigyire the Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson confirmed the incident; "He has actually shot him self too , we shall come out with a detailed statement in a few minutes."
