Muheji Nursery And Primary School Fire, 11 Year Old Student Entered School With A Matchbox; Police.

Following the suspected arson incident at Little Muheji Nursery and Primary School, the territorial Police at Nansana has made significant progress in its investigations.

It has been determined that the fire at the school is linked to a juvenile, Mubere Ethan, aged 11, who was observed by two other pupils in the dormitory with a matchbox.

 Upon further interrogation, Mubere Ethan has corroborated with both the detectives and the school management, stating that he brought the matchbox to school in an attempt to open his suitcase after misplacing the keys.

 He alleges that one of the matches may have accidentally ignited the fire, subsequently spreading to the dormitory.

In light of this incident, the school administrators have been advised to implement stringent measures to thoroughly screen pupils upon entry onto the school premises. 

It is noteworthy that Mubere Ethan had been previously sent home due to a medical issue, and upon his return, he brought the matchbox with him. Asp Luke Oeoyesigire the Deputy Public Relations Officer Kampala Metropolitan Police noted that investigations are still in progress and  further details will be provided.
