Ndiga Clan Head Daniel Bbosa's Murderer Under Treatment In Cuffs.
The Head of Ndiga Clan in Buganda Kingdom Eng. Daniel Bbosa was shot dead by gunmen on a motorcycle in Lungujja on 25th February 2024 but the angry Mob descended on one of the assailants identified as Enock Sserunkuuma and killed him instantly while Noah Luggya was rushed to Mulago National Referral Hospital where he is currently receiving treatment while cuffed
While the shooting is still under investigation, and the motive is yet established, it appears to be a targeted incident police spokesperson Fred Enanga told Spyreports.
Enanga explains that a CT scan conducted on Luggya revealed no fracture and he is currently conscious and under the tight guard of Kampala metropolitan police.
“We expect our teams to get very good information out of him as investigations continue,” Enanga noted.
We are reviewing all CCTV footages, both public and private in the area, as part of investigations. Our task team of detectives have forwarded, the killer gun to the Ballistic experts, to conduct an urgent trace of the origin of killer gun, when, where and to whom it was allocated.He added.
Police is still analyzing all pieces of information available to us and continue to gather more leads. expecting more information from this suspect at Mulago once he gains total consciousness after being interogated.
Both Sserunkuuma and Luggya are from the Ndiga clan. The duo allegedly together with another suspect still at large attacked and shot dead Bbosa inside his car near his home in Lungujja parish, Rubaga division, Kampala on Sunday.
They tried to get away on a motorcycle but they were pursued by residents who lynched Sserunkuuma on the spot while Luggya survived and was rushed to hospital.
Enanga expressed gratitude to the community, especially boda boda riders, for their courage in pursuing the assailants. The third suspect managed to escape and went into hiding, but the gun and motorcycle used in the crime were recovered.
The motorcycle, with its original number UFX 854F, was found with a fake number plate, UEX 754E. Enanga says that the motive behind the murder has not yet been determined.
Police confirmed that Bbosa's widow, Glades Bbosa, and their maid, Peace Nambaale, who were with the deceased in a Land Cruiser, were not injured. The late Bbosa was the proprietor of Transa Electrical Company Limited.
