NEMA Denies Allocating Lubigi Restored Area To Investor
The National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) has refuted claims that the authority had allocated restored part of land to the investor.
NEMA says, restoration exercise is meant to restore wetlands in order to perform their ecological and social functions and can not allow ar allocate the restored land to antone.
The authority adds that after the investgations, they found out that the report, they found out that the said land in media is located in bulenga and is not part of the restored wetland.
NEMA has further noted that they have mapped the land and identified it's owner without revealing more details.
It's established that the activity going on at the site is soil stockpiling and has been stoped since party of the land is in the wetland.
