NFA Boss Arraigned Before Anti Corruption Division Court Over Neglect Of Duty

Together with CID  have arraigned Pitua Jude, a former forest supervisor- National Forestry Authority attached to Wanende sector, Mabira Central Forest Reserve in Buikwe District before the Anti-Corruption Division.

He has been charged of Neglect of Duty and remanded until 09/05/2024. The acussed together with his supervisor, the Sector Manager Mugumya Philipison, who is still at large, being public officials employed by National Forestry Authority, neglected their duty to preserve and protect Mabira Forest Reserve leading to its destruction and exploitation by encroachers. 

In a related development Statehouse Anti corruption Unit with Police last month arrested three Mubende District LG Officials: John Baptist Muzibira - District Engineer, Kamya John Birungi - Civil Engineer and Ssendikadiwa Vito Bosco - Acting District Health Officer, on allegations of Abuse of Office and Neglect of Duty.

It's alleged that Ssendikadiwa Bosco, being the contract manager and the two engineers, being the project supervisors, failed to effectively manage the project which resulted into non completion and visible shoddy work of an extension of a maternity ward and construction of the waiting shed at Kibalinga Health III in Mubende District Local Government.
