Over 50 Suspects So Far Charged For Mismanagement Of PDM Money- Brig Gen Isoke
The State House Anti corruption Unit head Brig Gen Henry Isoke has revealed that the unit working with Parish Development Model, criminal Investigations Directorate , Office of the director of public prosecutions and other security agencies have so far charged over 50 suspects over mismanagement of PDM funds.
Brig Isome revealed this while hosting the PDM Secretariat National Cordinator Hon. Denis Galabuzi Ssozi, who was accompanied by a team of PDM technical officers including; Mr Godfrey Ssemugoma-Director Financial Management Services in the Ministry of Finance Planning and Economic Development and Dr Katende Edward from Operation Wealth Creation ( OWC).
The AntiGraft Unit has been a key stakeholder in supporting the operations of PDM, by responding to reported complaints of corruption and mismanagement of the program by errant individuals.
Brig Henry Isoke thanked Hon. Galabuzi and the PDM Secretariate for their efforts, in ensuring the effective running of the program, whose success will significantly contribute to the social economic transformation of the country.
Hon. Galabuzi highlighted the various initiatives and measures so far put in place to ensure that the PDM funds promptly reach the intended beneficiaries.
Among these are the digital platforms that track the funds and performance of the program.
He added that there are also follow up mechanisms including routine checkups on the different projects to ensure that the means of production like raw materials are of good quality, and there is value addition to enhance yields hence increased household incomes.
Brig Isoke retaliated SHACU's determination in working with the PDM secretariate and other stakeholders to firmly deal with any individual derailing the program through corrupt practices
