Police Recover Stolen Coffee -Two People Arrested

Police in Kamuli district have arrested two men in connection to coffee theft.

It's alleged that on the night of November 13, 2024, Kitamirike Fred and Mwanja David were arrested by police in connection with the theft of 100 kilograms of coffee from a garden in Bulira zone, Butende parish, located in Kitayunjwa subcounty, Kamuli.

The arrest followed a complaint that prompted the Kamuli police to deploy their canine ( Joy) Joy successfully led the police to Kitamirike Fred's residence, who subsequently led the police to Mwanja David.

The police were able to recover the stolen coffee after the tracking. 

Investigations are still ongoing pending arraigning the suspects in court.
