President Museveni Appoints Maj Gen Bakasumba As The Joint Chief Of Staff Dropping Gen Kyanda

President Museveni also Commander in Chief of UPDF has appointed and promoted senior officers and Generals to different responsibilities.

Gen. Wilson Mbasu Mbadi who has been Chief of the Defence Forces is newly appointed minister of state for trade in the Ministry of trade and cooperatives.

The official Communication released from the Office of the Defence Spokesperson signed by Brig Gen. Felix Kulayigye confirmed that Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba the son of President Museveni and the National Chairman of the PLU now appointed the new Chief of Defence Forces.

Lt.Gen.Peter Elweru who has been the Deputy Chief of Defence Forces has been dropped and is now appointed Senior Presidential Advisor and replaced by Lt. Gen. Samuel Okiding as new Deputy Chief of Defence Forces.

Others appointed are Maj.Gen.Leopold Kyanda was appointed Defence Attache While Maj. Gen. Jackson Bakasumba was appointed Joint Chief of Staff.
